Getting Started with the Ingredients
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup persimmon pulp
- 1-1/4 cups white sugar
- 1 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 pinch salt
- 1-1/4 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
The Actual preparation:
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Butter one 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine persimmon pulp, baking soda, sugar and eggs. Mix well.
- Add flour, baking powder, cinnamon, vanilla, salt, milk and melted butter. Stir to combine.
- Pour into baking pan and bake for 55 minutes. The pudding will rise but will fall when removed from oven.
