Quite a few people are allergic to latex, which of course is found in rubber gloves and condoms. It mainly affects people who are in constant contact with latex products during medical procedures, like nurses and doctors. Patients who are in a hospital for extended stays or have a lot of hands-on medical treatment can also develop an allergy.
There is a link to latex and food. It would seem that a person who reacts to latex might also get anaphylaxis from bananas, avocados, kiwi, figs, peanuts, potatoes or tomatoes.
Other non-food allergens are bees, wasps and any other stinging insect such as the fire ants
